Perched high in the cool-climate vineyards of Orange, New South Wales, Logan Wines has become one of Australia’s most respected producers of elegant, site-driven wines. Founded in 1997 by Peter Logan, the winery reflects his passion for cool-climate viticulture and a belief that great wines begin in the vineyard.

After studying winemaking and gaining experience in Australia and Europe, Peter Logan was drawn to the elevated slopes of Orange, where vineyards sit between 600 and 1,000 metres above sea level. These high altitudes bring cool temperatures and long growing seasons, allowing grapes to ripen slowly while retaining freshness and natural acidity — key elements that define Logan’s refined wine style.

Alongside Orange, Logan also sources fruit from the nearby region of Mudgee, one of Australia’s oldest wine regions. The combination of Orange’s cool-climate precision and Mudgee’s richness allows Logan Wines to craft a diverse portfolio that balances elegance with depth.

The winery is particularly known for its expressive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Orange, where the cool climate produces wines with bright acidity, purity of fruit and fine structure. The region has also proven well-suited to Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris, which show vibrant aromatics and crisp minerality.

From Mudgee, Logan produces fuller-bodied styles including Shiraz and Merlot, offering generous fruit, spice and smooth tannins that reflect the region’s slightly warmer conditions.
