The 2018 Logan Cabernet Merlot is a premium, medium-bodied Australian red blend from Orange and Mudgee, NSW, featuring roughly 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. It is characterized by aromas of raspberry, cocoa, violet, and tobacco, with flavors of mulberry, blackberry, and spiced plum, offering a smooth finish.
Winemaking
The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in tank before racked to oak barrel. Maturation was for 12 months in French oak puncheon (500L) and hogshead (300L) barrels (a mixture of new to eight year old).
