The vineyard of the Riesling is in Awatere Valley and the vineyards of the Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer are in Wairau Valley.
This is delightful wine which shows different aspects each time it is enjoyed. Gewurztraminer provides florals and spice with weight while Riesling adds citrus, length and structure, The Pinot Gris provides stone fruits with great texture. The wine has expression of elegant aromatic and bright juicy fruit flavor with a rounded mouthfeel and a supple fine chalky texture.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by machine and pressed gently. The most of the juice is fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tank to retain aromatic and freshness. A small portion of 8% is fermented in old French oak to give complexity into the final blend.
