This Barolo has a special value for our family and represents the history and tradition of assembling different single-vineyards of Barolo. Our Barolo comes from the best plots of nine cru. The diversity of soils, exposure and altitude characterizes each of these small but very important terroir. Unifying these diversities, the Barolo offers harmony and complexity with an overall character of the zone.

Vineyards:
– from Castiglione Falletto village: Vignolo (1960), Rocche Moriondino (2000), Pernanno (1968, 1976, 1999, 2001)
– from Barolo village: Vignane (1994, 1998), Terlo (1947, 1960, 1971), Albarella (1999)
– from Serralunga d’Alba village: San Bernardo (1946, 1964, 1968), Cerretta (1973, 2010)
– from Monforte d’Alba village: Bussia Fantini (2006, 2007, 2010)
Vinification: Separate vinification of each vineyard. We fully destem and crush the grapes. The alcoholic fermentation took place for some vineyards in oak casks for others in stainless steel vat with submerged-cap-maceration. The malolactic fermentation occurred in oak cask right after the alcoholic fermentation.
Aging: Every plot of the single vineyards is kept separate and aged for about 22 months in 25 – 50 HL casks. At the end of the two years of aging, the most performing plots of the vintage are finally blended. A few months later the Barolo is bottled, about one year before the release on the market.
