Olivier Leflaive Frères
Established in Puligny-Montrachet, the Leflaive family has been rooted in Burgundy since 1635, carrying forward a long tradition of producing some of the finest expressions of Chardonnay. Today, Olivier Leflaive stands as a leading figure of the Côte de Beaune, recognised for his role in elevating the reputation of white Burgundy on the global stage.
In 1985, Olivier Leflaive founded Olivier Leflaive Frères, creating a distinctive “haute-couture” négociant model focused on the selection, vinification and ageing of wines from some of Burgundy’s most prestigious terroirs. Alongside its own vineyards, the estate works closely with trusted growers across the region, sourcing high-quality fruit to complement its production.
Today, the domaine comprises approximately 17 hectares of estate vineyards, with additional fruit sourced from around 120 hectares across the Côte de Beaune, including Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault, as well as selected sites in Chablis and the Côte Chalonnaise. All estate vineyards are cultivated under HVE (High Environmental Value) Level 3 certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture.
The philosophy of Olivier Leflaive is centred on expressing the authenticity of Burgundy’s “climats.” Through precise winemaking and careful élevage, the wines reveal the nuance and diversity of each terroir. The resulting wines are known for their elegance, purity and minerality, offering a refined and consistent interpretation of great white Burgundy.
