Domaine Les Paillieres
Located north of the Dentelles de Montmirail in the commune of Gigondas, Domaine Les Pallières is one of the most distinctive estates in the Southern Rhône. The vineyard extends across rolling hillsides where each row of vines follows the natural contours of the landscape, reflecting a deep respect for the site’s unique topography.
The estate comprises 25 hectares of vineyards surrounded by 110 hectares of forest, creating a remarkable natural environment where vineyards coexist harmoniously with pine and oak woodlands. Cherry, fig, olive, peach, and walnut trees are scattered throughout the property, contributing to the biodiversity and character of the estate. A natural spring, which feeds the estate’s ponds throughout the year, provides a source of freshness and further enhances the unique microclimate of the vineyard.
In the late 1990s, the estate entered a new chapter when the Brunier brothers, Daniel and Frédéric, owners of the renowned Vieux Telegraphe estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, acquired Domaine Les Pallieres. Already recognised as leading figures in the Southern Rhône, they were drawn to the extraordinary potential of this unique terroir and committed themselves to restoring the estate to its former glory.
For centuries, vines have been cultivated on this remarkable site, producing wines that express the character, elegance, and authenticity of Gigondas. Today, Domaine Les Pallieres remains dedicated to crafting wines that faithfully reflect the beauty and identity of this unique corner of the Southern Rhône, combining the richness of its natural environment with the Brunier family’s commitment to quality and terroir expression.
