Domaine Geantet Pansiot
Located in the historic village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Geantet-Pansiot was founded in 1954 when Edmond Geantet married Bernadette Pansiot. The newlyweds began producing wine from around 7 acres of vineyards located in the appellations of Gevrey-Chambertin and Bourgogne, establishing the foundations of what would become a respected family estate.
The domaine entered a new phase in 1977 when their son Vincent Geantet joined the family business. After working alongside his parents for many years, Vincent took over leadership of the estate in 1989 and gradually expanded both the vineyard holdings and the reputation of the domaine.
The vineyards have steadily grown over time, most notably with the acquisition of 10 additional acres in Gevrey-Chambertin in 1991, followed by further parcels in Chambolle-Musigny and Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru. Today the estate farms around 32 acres of vineyards across these renowned Burgundy terroirs.
The third generation is now actively involved in the domaine, with Vincent’s son Fabien Geantet officially joining the estate in 2006 after working in the vineyards from a young age. Together, Vincent and Fabien continue to cultivate their vineyards using lutte raisonnée, avoiding herbicides and chemical fertilizers while promoting sustainable vineyard practices.
The wines of Domaine Geantet-Pansiot reflect both the personality of the family and the character of their terroirs – generous and structured wines that express the depth, nobility and power typical of Gevrey-Chambertin.
