Domaine Denis Mortet
Domaine Denis Mortet is widely regarded as one of the most influential estates in Gevrey-Chambertin, a village known for producing some of Burgundy’s most powerful Pinot Noir wines.
The domaine was established by the late Denis Mortet, whose meticulous vineyard management and attention to detail quickly elevated the estate to international prominence during the 1990s.
Denis Mortet steadily expanded the domaine’s vineyard holdings across several prestigious sites in the Côte de Nuits, including Chambertin Grand Cru, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, and a number of highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin.
Following Denis Mortet’s passing in 2006, the estate has been led by his son Arnaud Mortet. Under his direction, the domaine continues to cultivate the vineyards that have long defined the estate’s reputation, preserving the legacy established by his father while guiding the wines into a new generation.
