Located in the heart of the Valpolicella, Allegrini is one of the most historic and influential estates of Valpolicella Classica. The Allegrini family has played a leading role in the history of Fumane and the surrounding region since the 16th century, passing down the culture of vine growing and winemaking across generations.

The modern identity of the estate was shaped by Giovanni Allegrini, whose vision and dedication transformed the family property into a dynamic and innovative winery. After his passing in 1983, the estate was carried forward by his children Franco, Walter and Marilisa, and today the next generation of the family continues to lead the winery.

Allegrini farms vineyards in some of the most prestigious hillside sites of Valpolicella Classica, planted primarily with traditional varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The estate is particularly renowned for its refined interpretation of Amarone della Valpolicella, produced using the traditional appassimento method in which grapes are carefully dried before fermentation to concentrate flavour and structure.

Sustainability is central to the estate’s philosophy. Allegrini holds Biodiversity Friend® certification and achieved Equalitas certification in 2019, reflecting its commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability. The winery also monitors water use and carbon emissions in its vineyards as part of its ongoing efforts to protect biodiversity and reduce environmental impact while continuing to produce wines that express the character and elegance of Valpolicella.
